How to find out whether your car has been towed:

  1. Call one of the following phone numbers:
    • Moscow Transport hotline at +7 495 539-54-54 or 3210 (for cell phones)
    • State Traffic Safety Inspectorate Dispatch Center at 02 or 112 (for cell phones)
  2. Make an online request using a license plate number at:
    • Parking.mos.ru
    • Avtokod.mos.ru
    • Mos.ru
    • Or go to mobile applications:

    • Car impound section in Moscow Parking
    • Services: Vehicle Towing Information in Moscow Transport
  3. Send a free SMS to 7377 with a following Cyrillic text (only if your device supports a Cyrillic keyboard layout): ЭВ Vehicle Plate Number E.g: ЭВ А234АА177
  4. Subscribe to free-of-charge SMS notifications in case of towing (to be continued)

    • Moscow parking app

Information about the vehicle towing appears 15 minutes after the actual towing time.

Remember to check the address of the tow lot, name and address of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate and Moscow Administrative Road Inspection subdivisions that carried out the detention

How to take back the towed vehicle from the tow lot?

  1. Contact the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate and Moscow Administrative Road Inspection that carried out the detention and provide the following documents:
    • Driving license
    • Vehicle Registration Certificate
    • Compulsory third-party car insurance certificate (for State Traffic Safety Inspectorate only)

    If requested documents are left in the vehicle, you need to proceed to the tow lot, fill in the form to gain access to the vehicle, take all necessary documents and then visit the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate / Moscow Administrative Road Inspection subdivision that carried out the detention. Tow lot operate around the clock.

  2. Get the vehicle return resolution at the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate / Moscow Administrative Road Inspection subdivision
  3. Go to the tow lot and receive the ticket to pay for vehicle transferring and storage:
    • Pay for vehicle transferring and storage with a 25% discount before you get your vehicle back
    • Get your vehicle back and you will have 60 days for paying the vehicle transferring and storage fee (but with no discount)
  4. After you receive a ticket at the towing parking, you need to pay for vehicle transferring and storage in the following ways:

        a) Via payment terminals at tow lot (with a card or in cash)

        b) In any bank or with any cash-in ATM

        c) Via Moscow parking application

  5. Take the vehicle from the tow lot. Before signing an acceptance act, an external inspection of the vehicle should be performed to ensure the vehicle was not damaged during loading and transportation.
